Historic and Architectural Importance
Vernon Tiger and Walter Corrigan operated a large nursery on the old Ireland property off Beaver Dam Road in Brookhaven Hamlet (see Br26.1-S, Br26A and Br27A). In addition to this main nursery farm, the also maintained an office, retail outlet, and adjunct nursery on Montauk Highway, in Brookhaven Hamlet. The nursery farm extended from Montauk Highway north to approximately modern Sunrise Highway. The office structure was razed in the 1970s. The Montauk Highway nursery site eventually became the small Deer Meadow Run development site, with an access road off Yaphank Avenue. «»
  
6- Description, Condition, Evidence of Site
 The Tiger Nursery maintained a sales office on Montauk Highway just east of the Apex Collison and Service Station. This is now the trailer sales site. In addition to the office, they also owned the property from Montauk Highway north to about Sunrise Highway. The northern part of the site has been developed as the Deer Meadow Run development. «»
