- While not proved, it is likely that the George Breckinridge found in the 1880 census is the present George. He is living in the household of his uncle, John Breckinridge, age 40, a ship carpenter. Also in the household were Mary Jane Breckinridge, age 45, John's sister and therefore George's aunt; John (age 19, coach painterr); Samuel (age 15, clerk); and Sarah (age 13, at school). George was a ship carpenter.
