Recent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman H. Toombs of South Country road were Mrs. Toombs brother, Ernest B. Barteau of Vancouver, B.C., and her sisters, Mrs. Ralph Waggoner of Oklahoma, Miss. Clara T. Barteau of Islip, and Mrs. Toombs brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Smith of Bayport. It was the first time in many years the family had been together. Mr. Barteau had gone to Alaska from Brookhaven in 1898 and was employed by the White Pass and Yukon railroad for more than 50 years. Mrs. Waggoner and her husband, a doctor, have lived in the Middle West the past 40 years.
