Owned house bought of his brother, Samuel; then sold it to the Osborns who bought and gave it as a parsonage for the Bellport Presbyterian Church. The house was later moved a couple or so hundred feet south and a new house, the so-called parsonage, built on the site. * This account is ambiguous. Note that just previous it was indicated that Hannah Kinge was his wife, daughter of William and Dorothy Kinge. Perhaps these are typographical errors. No source has been found that indicates that he had a second wife, Dorothy.
** The John Tutthill to whom Richard entrusted his family and estate was not the John Tutthill described here, but rather a neighbor and friend, John Tutthill [i]; this John's wife Deliverance Kinge was a sibling to Hannah Kinge, Richard's wife. A John Tutthill does marry into the family, marrying Richard's granddaughter Elizabeth by his son Jonathan. This John Tutthill [iii] was John Tutthill's [i] grandson.
