Miss Marie C. Pape, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pape of Maple avenue, and Walter V. Zukowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Zukowski of Brookhaven, were united in marriage Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the rectory of the Mary Immaculate R.C. Church in Bellport. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Aloysius Gillick in the presence of a group of relatives. The bride wore a pretty light blue dress with hat and slippers to match and carried a bouwuet of light pink roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Esther Pape, who was dressed in light beige with hat and slippers of the same shade and carried dark pink roses. Harold Powers of Yaphank was best man.
Following the ceremony a supper was held in the Better 'Ole at Brookhaven, the table being beautifully decorated with white carnations, sweet peas and sprays of ferns. The young peopkle are now residing on Vernon avenue, Patchogue. Mrs. Zukowski, who is a graduate of the Patchogue High School and the Teachers' Training school at jamaica, is a teacher in the Bellport Union school. Mr. Zukowski has been in the employ of M.C. Smythe of Bellport for a number of years.
