You may search for a particular family name in in the 1850 Census for Brookhaven Hamlet.  You should get a listing of all individuals with this last name.  They are sorted in the order found in the census;  therefore family units will be together.  Some names were difficult to transcribe, and may contain "?'s" which would not be found in this search, requiring scanning of the 1850 Census Table.
