.. looking southeast.
This Conklin Family Burial Site is a small cemetery about 300 feet east of Old Stump Road, about 800 feet north of Beaverdam Rd., behind 179 Old Stump Rd. and at the boundary with the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, Brookhaven, NY.
There are three grave markers at this site, which was last visited 28 Feb 2007 by John Deitz and Marty Van Lith.
While there appears to be no official maintenance of this cemetery by either the Town of Brookhaven as required by NYS Town Law, or by the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, some routine care is provided by local residents because of its proximity to private property.
This site is cemetery #S10 in the Town of Brookhaven Historian's Cemetery inventory (supplemental), has Suffolk County Tax Map reference 200-974-30-01-13, has Town of Brookhaven Department of Parks inventory ID 5195C39, and has been assigned Historic Site identification Br36.11A-S. Its global positioning coordinates are Latitude N40° 46.533' and Longitude W72° 53.967'.010.
