#S12.01 Smith Mott .. as far as can be determined, there are only two graves in this small family burying ground — Smith Mott and his wife Sarah. The cemetery has not been maintained for years, and while the land is apparently owned by the Town of Brookhaven, it is threatened by development. |

#BS17.Rider03: Hannah, wife of Barnabas Rider ..Died: 25 April 1856 ae 62 yrs - 8 mo. While a record of this headstone was found in the documentation for the c. 1939 Town of Brookhaven Historians cemetery inventory, it could not be found in 2007. In September 2013, members of the Fire Place History Club conducted a clean-up of the site. Knowing that Hannah's gravestone was inventoried in the late 1930's, they probed the site and found it buried beneath several inches of soil, likely near where it fell. With further probing, they found and excavated the base. |
