.. His headstone was considered too badly damaged to be repaired. Instead it was laid flat in a gravel bed to control weeds and minimize further damage. The nature of the damage suggests that its destruction was malicious.

#30.1.1.4.5.1 Timothy Rose
#30.1.1.4.5.1 Timothy Rose
He is believed to have been a son of William Rose. He is recorded as being buried in the Rose Family Cemetery in the c. 1939 Town of Brookhaven Historian's Inventory. In 2002, his gravestone was not be found, and it was not found as part of the 2008 Restoration Project. From the Town's inventory (c. 1939): Death date: 15 Aug 1838 Age at death: 01-01-00
Missing    Timothy Rose, ^ (d. 15 Aug 1838)

#30.A (1) Charles B. Hallock (Map Key #14)
#30.A (1) Charles B. Hallock (Map Key #14)
.. on 3 April 2008, his gravestone was excavated. It did not appear on any prior known Rose cemetery inventory. His father appears to be Daniel B. Hallock, who likely was the husband of Ede Rose Hallock prior to her death. He apparently remarried; the name of his second wife is illegible. Charles B. Hallock would therefore be the half-brother of the child Ede Hallock.
