- In addition to family members, Anna Thika? (identified as his sister-in-law, age 40) and two servants were living in the household. [ Anna, I suppose, could be Ann Weeks, his wife's sister who was living in the household in 1920 and 1930. This Anna's census entry suggests she was born about 1870. Other sources suggest that Ann Weeks was born in 1863 (the 1920 census recorded her age as 56, and 1930 as 66). And this 1910 census entry doesn't look like "Weeks" to me. However, there doesn't seem to be any other likely sister-in-law candidates.)

Notes |
John Little records: "Thomas emigrated to the US from Ireland in 1872. He was naturalized before 1900. The Brooklyn street directories of 1885, 1889 and 1890 list Thomas living at 927 Butler St. and working as a superintendent at 187 Plymouth. The 1896 edition lists him living at 233 Clifton Pl. and working as an agent. The 1899 directory lists him living at 233 Clifton Pl., working as a superintendent. All the latter listings in the street directories list Thomas as a superintendent or manager of a paint company. The companies address is listed as 187 Plymouth until the 1903 edition when it changed to 78 John. In 1900 Thomas and Elizabeth were living at 233 Clifton Pl. They owned their home with a mortgage. Besides their children Elizabeth's sister Alice and two servants born in Ireland were also living with the family. Thomas is listed in the street directories of 1900 through 1906 living at 233 Clifton Pl. Those of 1907 though 1910 list him at 688 Lafayette Ave. There was no 1911 directory and Thomas isn't listed in the 1912 or 1913 editions. Thomas death record lists him as married and his occupation as a paint and varnish manufacturer. His obituary mentions that he was formerly superintendent of the vanish works of the John W. Masury plant in Brooklyn. Thomas was a long time member of St. Ann's P. E. Church in Brooklyn. He was also a member of the Masons."
