- In addition to Stephen Lane Folger, there were seven other children, the eldest of which was Henry Clay Folger, and industrialist associated with Standard Oil. After the breakup of Standard Oil, he became president of Standard Oil of New Jersey (now Mobil Oil), and later chairman of Standard Oil of New York. He was a collector of Shakespearean works, which became the core collection of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC.
