Sergei Bortkiewicz (1877-1952) was a Russian/Ukrainian composer. Unlike Carol Robinson, it is said that he did not consider himself a modernist; his piano composition style was based on Liszt and Chopin. This recording was performed by Carol Robinson and recorded on a Duo Art # 68890 piano roll in the personal archives of Knowles Little of Rockville, MD, and played on his Steinway reproducing piano.
