About Database

•  •

In this Section I develop genealogies of the families of early Brookhaven (Fire Place) and Southaven Hamlets  and show their interconnectedness.

All the people found in this Section were not necessarily residents of the Hamlets.  However, all have a "family" connection to the Hamlets through one or more ancestors or descendants.  Some collateral lines are also included.

Those who are documented to have lived in the Hamlets are identified by a ^ following their name, either because they appear on a census, or there is other evidence that they were residents.  Ancestors of Hamlet People are identified by a > following their name, descendants by a <.

People identified with a † following their name were identified as members of the South Haven Presbyterian Church, but were not identified as being residents of the Hamlets. In Colonial times (and even today), the Parish itself extended well to the east and west of the Fire Place and South Haven Hamlets.

This material is always evolving and recorded in a genealogical database.  I then periodically update these web pages.   I am always open to additions and corrections.
